Grading Procedures

SCIENCE GRADING PROCEDURES:
All regular student work is weighted equally, with the following exception: Biology and IPC chapter tests are recorded twice thus making them twice as important as all other work in those two classes.      Mr. Williams

SCIENCE EXTRA CREDIT:
Each student in Biology, IPC and 8th Grade Science can earn extra credit by completing a chapter outline within 2 days of starting each chapter in their respective textbooks. Instruction is given on the correct outline format within the first three days of school and the students outline will be awarded 0.5 points or 0.25 points or no credit added directly to their 6 weeks average according to the following scale: 0.5 pts for 2 or less mistakes

                                               0.25 pts for 3 to 10 mistakes
no credit if more than 10 mistakes.
Please be aware that this is the only extra credit given and the outlines must be turned in within 2 days of the start of each chapter. If we cover 4 chapters in one 6 weeks, its possible to raise your grade 2 pts.
