Advisor/Sponsor/Coach:

Grading Procedures

  • Tests will account for thirty percent of their grade

  • Grades will be a determined by the student’s attitude, willingness to learn, work ethic, and the finished product.  This will account for thirty-five percent of their grade.

  • Daily work will account for twenty-five percent of their grade.

  • Record-books will account for ten percent of their grade     

Departmental Rules

  1. Take care of business:  A good rule to live by.  Take care of your responsibilities and do what is asked of you, and you can’t go wrong
  1. Respect: Respect everyone and everything at all times.
  1. No Horseplay:  The shop is a place of work that can be dangerous if not treated with respect.  This will result in a loss of your shop privileges for the rest of the year
  1. No foul language:  You know the words don’t say them

Departmental Consequences 

  1. Verbal warning
  1. One on one discussion in office
  1. Pushups
  1. Sent to Mr. Pyburn

Extracurricular Rules and Consequences

Rules:  When participating in agriculturally related event students will be expected to follow the departmental rules along with other rules concerning time constraints, room and board, responsibilities, etc., imposed on them by the instructor or any sponsors.

Consequences:  Consequences resulting from failure to follow departmental rules and extracurricular rules will vary according to severity of a student’s actions.  Minor infractions can be solved by using departmental consequences.  Serious Infractions, (lude behavior, drinking, smoking, etc.) will call for serious consequences, (immediate trip home at parent’s expense, expulsion, parental involvement, etc.)

Classroom Supplies

  • Pen, Pencil, spiral notebook

  •  Working clothes: A change of clothes will prevent students ruining their good school clothes.

  • Closed toe shoes or boots:  Students in open toed shoes or sandals will not be allowed in the laboratory (shop).

  • A good attitude
