Train, Tony, Jacob, Eric, Sabrina, Angel, Wesley, Lila, Ambor, Ozzie, Meagan, Gilbert, Pat, Xavier, Alicia, Zachary, Maria, Samantha, Kyle, Isabel, Regina, Regan, Victoria, and Jesse.
Zachary in 6^th grade has won the Knights of Columbus basketball contest for students ages 10 through 14. He shot 13 out of 15 baskets in a long shot competition. Then, Zachary advanced to District competition in Del Rio. And he made 22 of 25 long shots.
This past six weeks, elementary PE has been in an extensive basketball unit consisting of fundamentals, half-time entertainment, and finishing off with tournament play. For our 2 on 2 tourney, placing in the 3^rd grade division are as follows: Consolation went to Nathaniel and Aquileo, 4^th place was Aaron and Garrett, 3^rd place went to Hailey and Gilbert , 2^nd place was Ivan and Bailey, and the championship went to Tony and Jared. In the 4^th grade division, Nikki and Arial received consolation, 3^rd place was Kaitlyn and Ashley, and second place, after a hard-fought game went to Kyle and Reagan. The champions were Isaiah and Kevin. The 5^th grade division was as follows: In 5A, Quinton and Kelsey received consolation, as did Devon and George in 5B. 3^rd place went to Abbey and Alisha in 5A and Troy and Garrett in 5B. 2^nd place finish was Ashley for 5A and Tony and Train in 5B. Champions in 5A were Ryan and Rake. The overall champions were JJ and Dustin. Sportsmanship certificates went to: Preston, Quinton, Nevah, and Justin.
